HIGHLIGHTS FAQ

Yes, there are many different highlighting techniques your stylist can use to lighten your hair. Some of the most popular techniques are Babylights, Classic Foil Highlights, AirTouch, and Balayage.

Babylights are ultra-fine highlights that mimic the natural tones in a child’s hair. This will create a very soft and natural look.

Classic Foil Highlights are woven highlights that create soft dimension in the hair. This will create a balanced, seamless finish.

AirTouch highlights use a hairdryer to blow out shorter hairs in a section, leaving only the longer and healthier strands to be highlighted. This technique produces a very blended look.

Balayage is a hand painting technique that creates a natural sun-kissed highlight. This will create a natural and soft look.

Most clients refresh their color every 8-12 weeks depending on how bright or dimensional they prefer their hair.

A partial highlight typically means highlighting only the “T-Section”, which includes the crown, the parting/fringe, and front hairline. This is a great option for someone who is looking for a more subtle, low maintenance color.

A half highlight is highlighting the “T-Section” and the sides of your head. This will give you a brighter, more noticeable change.

A full highlight is highlighting your entire head. This is perfect if you wear your hair up frequently or you want to be as light as possible.

The length of a highlight appointment depends on your desired look, hair length/density, and the technique being used. The length of appointment can last anywhere from 2-5+ hours. Your stylist will be able to provide you with a more accurate appointment time after a consultation.
